📥 How to Enable Email Tracking

Step 1: Connect Your Email Account

1. Go to Mail > Connect your email (if not already connected).
2. Sync with Gmail, Outlook, or IMAP.

Step 2: Enable Tracking by Default

1. Click your profile icon > Personal preferences > Email sync.
2. Scroll down to Tracking Settings.
3. Check:
   • ✅ Track email opens
   • ✅ Track link clicks
4. Click Save changes.

You can also choose to enable tracking per email in the email composer.

📧 How to Track a Specific Email

1. Go to the Mail tab or open a Deal, Contact, or Organization.
2. Click Compose Email.
3. In the composer window, look for the eye icon 👁️ and link icon 🔗:
   • Click to toggle Email Open Tracking and Link Click Tracking.
4. Compose your message and hit Send.

📍 Where to See Tracking Results

In the Mail Tab

• An eye icon next to the sent email shows if the message has been opened.
  • 🟢 Green = Opened
  • ⚪ Grey = Not yet opened
• A link icon will appear if any embedded link is clicked.

In the Deal or Contact View

1. Open the relevant deal, person, or organization.
2. Scroll to the email timeline.
3. Hover over the icons to view:
   • Date and time of opens
   • Number of opens
   • Link click events

Pipedrive does not send real-time alerts for opens/clicks but logs the activity for visibility in the timeline and mail tab.

To get real-time alerts, consider integrating with:

Do all email clients support open tracking?

Not always. Some email clients block image-based tracking (which powers open detection), so results may vary.

Can I see which specific links were clicked?

Yes. Pipedrive will show the URL and click count for each tracked link in the email.

Can I track emails sent via automation?

Yes. If the email is sent using a tracked template through Workflow Automation, tracking will work as long as tracking is enabled.
